Mindful Dog Parent
A Proven Step-by-Step Practice to Create A Joyful Life for You and Your Dog
Dear Dog Pawrent,
Do you feel overwhelmed taking care of your “reactive” dog who always barks and lunges at people and other dogs?
Do you feel frustrated that your dog is so scared at loud noise like thunder and fireworks and no matter what you do, you can’t calm him down?
Do you ever feel guilty that you don’t spend enough time with your dog, letting your dog inside the house most of the time while you’re working and sometimes can’t take them for a walk?
If you answer YES to any of my questions above, you’re not alone. There are many dog parents who are struggling to create the dream life they had imagined when they first brought their dog home.
I was one of those parents, and honestly sometimes I still had these feelings. However, it won’t bring me down into the rabbit hole anymore because now I know how to let go of these negative feelings in a few minutes.

INTRODUCING
A Life Skills Program for You and Your Dog
From my own life experience, I discovered that the secret to a happy, healthy and well-behaved dog is the dog parent who takes care of his/her own happiness and well-being.
You can have the best dog trainer in the world, but if YOU feel miserable, you’ll still have a reactive dog.
I know this from experience.
I’m really into self-development and curious about how life works. The first book I bought when I was a teenager was “Being Happy” by Andrew Matthews.
The first 15 years after I graduated from university in 1998, I struggled to create my dream life. I subscribed to “no pain, no gain” and “you must work hard to get what you want” type of success philosophy. I was MISERABLE.
The only thing that kept me alive was my rescued dogs. Every time the voice in my head said, “What’s the point of living when there’s so much pain and no matter how hard I tried, I failed!”, I looked at my dogs. Who’s going to take care of them?
Once I helped a rescued dog organization to transport a couple of dogs to their shelter because the dogs’ owner (a dog rescuer) had committed suicide.
The dogs were scared and confused. It broke my heart. I can’t make my dogs go through that.
“Long-term stress levels are synchronized in dogs and their owners”
This research paper published in Scientific Reports by Ann-Sofie Sundman and her colleagues. Unfortunately, I learned it the hard way from experience.
Since the root-cause of most diseases is stress, during the period where I was really stressed, my vet bills were also high, which contribute to more stress.
And if you’ve watched my free “Have a Calmer Dog” video, you know the relationship between stress and dog reactivity.
This is why I created a program that cater for both, you and your dog.
I really believe if you are happy or at least satisfied with your life, it’ll be much easier and faster to successfully train your dog. Most of the times, you don’t even have to train your dog that much. Your dog naturally won’t cause you much problems.
